New Quiz Builder Experience
Quiz Builder saves instructors time by streamlining the screens and work flows for building and arranging quiz content. Instructors can add questions, sections and question pools, or import from the Question library. From a single interface, they can edit, delete and reorder questions. They can also review critical information such as question points and total points in the quiz; mandatory and bonus status and shuffling behavior.

Respondus LockDown Browser Course Copy Requirement
When copying a Desire2Learn course’s materials into another course, instructors who have copied Respondus LockDown Browser quizzes must take an additional step for their quizzes to work correctly.

Viewing D2L Quiz Attempts with the Respondus LockDown Browser
Instructors have the option of requiring that students use the Respondus LockDown Browser to view Desire2Learn quiz attempt submissions. If the LockDown Browser is required to view a quiz attempt submission, the quiz attempt screen in a standard browser will display the message, “To view your results, you must use the Respondus LockDown Browser.”

Desire2Learn Withdrawn Student Participation Information
Washburn instructors are asked to provide participation information for some students who have withdrawn from courses. When a student is withdrawn from a course, they no longer appear as active in the Desire2Learn shell for that course.

Video Drop Boxes and D2L Course Copying
The Desire2Learn course copy tool can be very useful for arraying a new course with the same structure as a previously taught course. Links to videos in your Washburn Video library are copied forward and do not have to be recreated. This is also the case for any Video Dropboxes you have created in your course.

Enrollment in the IRB Course in D2L
Any Washburn user who has a Desire2Learn account can access the (IRB) Institutional Review Board course. A user who is enrolled in the IRB course accesses it through the course link on their D2L homepage in the My Courses widget under All Semesters. If you need to access the IRB course and do not see that course link, you can Self Register for that course.

Instructors can allow iPads for LockDown Browser quizzes
Instructors have the option of allowing students to take a Respondus LockDown Browser quiz on an iPad. By default, requiring the LockDown Browser means that a student must use a Mac or Windows computer.

Respondus LockDown Browser for iPad
A version of the Respondus LockDown Browser is available for the iPad. An instructor that requires the LockDown Browser for a quiz can choose to allow students to take it on an iPad. A quiz requiring Respondus Monitor (which requires use of the LockDown Browser) can also be released to be taken on an iPad.

Course Merge Request Form
As an instructor, you may find that you are teaching the same course or using the same course materials for two or more groups of students. If you wish, your Desire2Learn courses can be combined into one course. This process, called merging or crosslisting, consolidates your course rosters into one course from which you can administrate the online portion of two or more D2L courses.

The Respondus Lockdown Browser blocks communication and capture software and applications from running while the Lockdown Browser is running. There are some programs that the Respondus Lockdown Browser requires the user to close manually.
