New streaming server-Ensemble

Our new streaming server is in the implementation stage and staff are busy setting up and training on administration of the new Ensemble Video  server.  The Ensemble Video staff have also been busy working on a deeper integration with Desire2Learn that will be implemented with our upgrade to D2L 10.3 on May 22nd, 2014.  Many of you will soon be receiving an e-mail about your current files, as we begin the process of identifying what we will migrate to Ensemble and what files will need to be captioned if they are shared publicly. Migration of files will take place during the summer.  We are excited about the possibilities this new server will provide, the easy user interface, and the integration with Desire2Learn.  Other key features of Ensemble will include; mobile device support, HD (High Definition) content delivery, privacy settings, sharing options, and integration with a captioning service to provide ADA compliant content.   End-user training will be developed and provided to you in the fall 2014 semester.  We look forward to helping you explore the new opportunities that Ensemble Video will offer to the campus and will be working diligently to make a smooth transition to the new streaming server. Look here for more announcements on the Ensemble Video implementation and migration schedule.
